PUERTO BANÚS AREA AND ACTIVITIES

Within walking distance from the house is the picturesque Puerto Banús marina, with stunning views over La Concha mountain. Puerto Banús has everything you would expect from a luxury resort, from a wide variety of bars and restaurants to choose from, to designer shops and an impressive range of fantastic nightlife to enjoy. But it also has it’s idiosyncratic touches to discover, such as the rhinoceros statue created by the Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dalí.

ORIGINS

It was the vision of José Banús to create a luxury marina and shopping complex for the rich and famous, from what was once a traditional Spanish fishing village.

Lavishly opened in 1970, the marina complex was designed in a sophisticated mediterranean architectural style, whilst retaining the essence of it’s traditional origins.

With an endless array of activities to be enjoyed, along with many picturesque beaches of soft golden sand to relax on, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Explore the natural beauty of the Andalucian countryside, within a 15 minute scenic mountainous drive into the Sierra Bermeja Mountains, to discover the traditional white washed Spanish towns and villages. The famous Rock of Gibraltar is only a short distance away and for the truly adventurous, Africa is just a 45 minuite boat ride away from nearby Algeciras.
